Why do some plants flower only in the spring?

This video explains how plants could “remember” that the winter is gone. It is related with DNA signals in a process called “Vernalization”.

It’s recorded, with an iPhone, in Cádiz, one of the oldest cities in southwestern Europe. It’s in Spanish with English Subtitles.
