Urban fossils from yesterday and today

Español

Fossils are the remains of living organisms, or of their biological activity, that have been preserved in sedimentary rocks. For a body or a sign of a body to become considered as a fossil it is needed that a physicochemical process known as fossilization takes place.

Based on the idea that fossils are impressions of a life from the past that have been printed on rocks, I reinterpret this phenomenon and draw it to the field of high resolution digital printing. A print that plays with the trompe l’oeil of the “Barcelona tile” and that helps me as a support for my fossils of yesterday and today.

Inspired by the first video of la Mandarina de Newton  “Urban fossils
